Gutters are easy to ignore until they fail. In North Texas, they do more than keep rain off your head at the front door. They carry water away from your roof edge, your siding, and your foundation, and on DFW's clay soils that last part matters a lot. RezComm Roofing & Construction installs seamless aluminum gutters and downspouts for homes across Dallas–Fort Worth, often alongside a roof replacement or storm repair.
Every gutter project starts with a FREE, no-obligation estimate. If storm damage is part of the picture, we can also start with a FREE AI drone roof scan and a FREE storm history report for your address.
Much of DFW sits on expansive clay soil. Clay swells when it gets wet and shrinks when it dries out, and that movement can put stress on a slab foundation. When roof water dumps straight down at the base of the house, the soil next to the foundation gets soaked in one spot while other areas stay dry. Uneven moisture means uneven movement.
A well-designed gutter system collects roof water and moves it through downspouts to a spot where it can drain away from the house. That does not replace good grading or a foundation professional's advice, but it removes one of the most common sources of concentrated water next to the slab. We pay attention to where every downspout discharges, not just where it is attached.
We install seamless aluminum gutters. Each run is made from a continuous length of aluminum, so it is one piece from corner to corner. Fewer joints means fewer places to leak. Aluminum does not rust, is relatively light, and comes in many colors to match your trim.
Residential gutters are commonly 5-inch or 6-inch K-style. Larger gutters carry more water, which can help on big or steep roof sections where heavy North Texas downpours overwhelm a smaller gutter. We size gutters based on the roof area draining into each run and where water tends to concentrate, such as below valleys.
Downspouts are where gutter systems most often fall short. Too few downspouts, or downspouts that are too small, cause overflow even when the gutters are clean. Placement matters too. We plan downspout locations so water is directed away from the foundation, walkways, and driveways, and we can add extensions where needed.
Guards reduce how often you need to clean out leaves and debris. They are especially helpful under trees. No guard makes a gutter completely maintenance-free, and some styles work better than others with pine needles or heavy leaf loads. We can talk through whether guards make sense for your home.
Gutters attach to the fascia board at the roof edge. If that board is soft or rotted, new gutters will not hold well. We check fascia during every gutter job and replace damaged sections before the new gutters go up. We also look at how the roof's drip edge directs water into the gutter.
Gutters are often replaced along with a roof. When a roof is torn off, the gutters and drip edge are right there, and it is a good time to replace dented or undersized gutters. Hail that damages a roof usually dents gutters and downspouts too, so they are commonly part of the same storm inspection. See our storm damage repair and roof replacement pages.
If gutters are part of an insurance claim, RezComm documents the damage with photos, provides an estimate, and meets your adjuster on site. We do not negotiate or adjust claims, as Texas law reserves that for licensed public adjusters, and we never promise approval. Texas law also requires you to pay your own deductible; contractors cannot pay or waive it.
Our installation is covered by RezComm's 5-year workmanship warranty. RezComm carries $1,000,000 in general liability coverage through Berkshire Hathaway Direct Insurance Company and holds a general contractor license covering our service cities. Financing is available through Acorn Finance, which can be helpful when gutters are part of a larger roof project.
A standalone gutter replacement on a typical home is a fairly quick project once materials and colors are chosen. Fascia repairs, larger homes, and multi-story work can add time. When gutters are part of a roof replacement, we schedule them to go on after the roof so they are not damaged during tear-off. Weather can shift the schedule, and we keep you informed.
Seamless gutters are one continuous piece for each run, so they only have joints at corners and downspouts. Sectional gutters are pieced together and have more seams that can leak over time.
It depends on the size and pitch of the roof sections draining into each gutter and how water concentrates at valleys. We measure your roof and recommend a size during the free estimate.
North Texas clay soil swells when wet and shrinks when dry. Gutters and well-placed downspouts move roof water away from the base of the house so it does not soak one area of soil next to the foundation. They are one part of good drainage, not a substitute for grading or foundation advice.
Guards can cut down on cleaning, especially under trees. They are not completely maintenance-free, and the right style depends on what kind of debris you get. We can help you decide.
Often, yes, especially if they are dented, sagging, or undersized. Doing both together lets us address the fascia and drip edge at the same time.
